Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: Computed Tomography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours Hours per Shift: 8, 10, and 12 hours with rotating calls every 3-5 weeks Experience: Minimum 1 year in X-ray, CT experience preferred License: Required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification Must-Have: - Experience in X-ray and CT - Ability to start IVs - Coverage will include CT and X-ray, Surgery Description: Department has 1 X-ray Room, 1 US Room, 1 Mammography Room, 1 CT Room, and 1 DEXA Room. Common imaging studies performed include plain films, CT scans, and C-arm procedures. Average number of scans/studies performed is approximately 16 across all modalities from Sunday to Saturday. There will be other technologists available until 4:30 PM. The department uses an EMR system, Evident CPSI, and PACS - Imagelink, MedQ - Radiologist Reading Room. Department-specific equipment includes Siemens for CT, Shimadzu for X-ray, and GE for US and DEXA. No Radiologist is in-house. Weekend call rotation starts Friday evening and goes through Monday morning. Rotating holiday requirements are in place. Call or standby requirement includes a 20-minute response time, and housing is available. Scrubs are not provided, and there is no mandatory scrub color. There is no specific orientation for CT versus X-ray, and staff assists in all areas except Mammography and US.
