Phlebotomist I Opportunity

Location: Wesley Chapel, FL

Pay Rate: $19.85-$21.26 per hour (based on experience)

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00 AM-3:00 PM and Saturday 6:30 AM-12:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Collect blood specimens from patients using established phlebotomy procedures
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing
• Explain procedures clearly and help patients feel comfortable and confident throughout the collection process
• Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collections following established guidelines
• Maintain accurate records and required documentation
• Ensure patient confidentiality and accurate patient information handling
• Promote a safe, professional, and positive environment for patients, clients, and coworkers
• Perform daily responsibilities accurately and on time with minimal supervision

What We're Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Strong customer service and patient interaction skills
• Keyboard and data entry experience
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed
• Ability to meet compliance requirements
