Title : Pharmacy Technician I – Refill & Prescription Support - BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy

Location : 3200 Lake Emma Rd. STE 1000, Lake Mary, FL 32746

Schedule : Monday - Friday

Shifts: Ideal candidates will be scheduled a shift between the hours of 10:00AM EST – 9:00PM EST

Hybrid : This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week , fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

The Pharmacy Technician I will be responsible for the interpretation and data entry of basic prescriptions, and troubleshooting adjudication issues.

How you will make an impact:

• Process specialty prescription orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, safety and quality standards, and internal standard operating procedures to support high-quality pharmacy care for patients with complex medical conditions.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare provider offices to clarify prescription details, obtain missing information, and resolve discrepancies with urgency and attention to detail, helping prevent delays in therapy and deliver an exceptional service experience.

• Verifies member information and inputs data for the pharmacists.
• Ability to accurately read, interpret, and transcribe prescriptions, charts, and lab notes, including working knowledge of ICD-10 codes.
• Educates members on pharmacy based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs.
• Responds to inquiries from physicians, sales team, and members related to formulary and prescription benefits.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Current State Pharmacy Tech Required.
• Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Specialty Pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience working in a call center environment preferred.
