Qualifications Completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, GIs, Math, Construction or related Ability to work 40 hrs/week onsite Great computer skills and ability to learn new software Someone with prior experience in the utility lighting department or has worked for an outdoor lighting manufacturer Plusses Utility and electrical distribution experience Our client is looking for an Power Distribution Engineering Technologist. This is a mid to entry level position that will be fully trained! This role is on the major projects team which works on a variety of distribution design projects. The role is focused on designing and entering work orders for the team into proprietary client systems. This is mainly in the office but may include some field time. Looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow with a company! Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise to accurately evaluate options and design safe, cost effective, and reliable distribution facilities for roadway, highway, and large-scale lighting. Learn company/client policies and procedures for the development of site designs for electrical distribution facilities to serve a variety of customers. Prepares site drawings and construction sketches for various installations of electrical facilities in a cost-effective manner that maximizes safety and service reliability.
