The right candidate implements and ensures compliance regarding the company’s environmental programs and policies, adhering to the company’s environmental standards. Verify the company is complying with federal, state and local regulations and policies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Manage approved, external environmental consultants in connection with environmental due diligence assessments, with coordination and involvement of Corporate and Region Environmental Departments and Corporate CounselReview and evaluate environmental and technical reports prepared during company due diligence activities, identify potential issues and assist in the resolution of issues associated with real estate transactions, company assets, and other mattersProvide guidance to company personnel regarding environmental complianceConduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to travel overnightRegular and reliable attendanceAdditional ResponsibilitiesManage corrective actions with federal, state, and local agencies as neededAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geology, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or a similar field from a four-year college or universityFour to ten years of related experience Maintain current knowledge of the ASTM Standards for Environmental Site AssessmentsMust have a vehicle and a valid driver’s licenseAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently to balance competing deadlinesPossess strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work well within a teamAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
